Human behavior can be categorized into several types, broadly classified as overt, covert, social, instinctive, habitual, complex, and symbolic behaviors.

Overt behaviors are observable actions, while covert behaviors are internal mental processes.  Interactions with other people are part of social behavior. Behaviors can also be innate (unlearned and innate), habitual (learned routines), complex (combining multiple habitual behaviors), and symbolic (using signs to represent something).

A more in-depth breakdown follows:

1.  Overt Behavior: These are things like speaking, running, and writing that can be seen and measured.

2.  Covert behavior refers to non-observable internal processes like thinking, feeling, or remembering.

3.  Social Behavior: These behaviors occur in a social context, involving interactions between individuals, such as cooperation, communication, and conflict.

 4.  Instinctive Behavior: These are innate, unlearned behaviors that are frequently motivated by fundamental urges. Examples include a baby's sucking reflex or an infant's smile.

 5.  The term "habitual behavior" refers to established patterns of behavior, such as taking a particular route to work or drinking coffee each morning.

6.  Complex Behavior: These are actions that combine a number of routine actions, like driving while singing along.

7.  Symbolic Behavior: This type of behavior uses symbols or signs to represent something, such as using language to convey meaning or hand gestures to communicate.

8.  Thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and other mental processes are all included in cognitive behavior.

9.  Emotional Behavior: Emotional behavior includes expressing one's feelings through body language, facial expressions, and other means.

10.  The term "motor behavior" refers to bodily actions like posture, movement, and physical skills.

11.  Voluntary Behavior: These are decisions that are made consciously, like choosing what to eat or going for a walk.

12.  Involuntary Behavior: These are behaviors that occur automatically without conscious control, such as breathing or the beating of the heart.

 13.  Economic Behavior: This category includes actions that involve the creation, organization, and utilization of work and materials.

14.  Ecological Behavior: This refers to actions involving the environment and ecosystem.
